Katia Peshakova – A Russian Photographer by Birth, but Indian By Heart !!
Katia was born in Russia in 1985 and she grew up watching her dad working with the elements of photography in his darkroom. As a teen, Katia began reading about India, its culture, traditions and fell in love with everything about INDIA…It was a Turning point in her life, while she was finishing her Masters in journalism, she started working as a wedding photographer in Moscow.
Katia says that her heart divided in two parts: between India and photography. And she knows how to mix it up! She claims – In her art you will taste a never before felt India . Clicking under the motto “Made with Love” she really does her work as it said.
Some few years back, wedding photographs were usually taken by the local studio guys In almost most of Towns & Cities in India, nowadays the trend has evolved, Says Katia..Who is an expert Pre Wedding and Complete Wedding Photographer, she adds that, people want to cherish those happy moments forever and wish to make a lifetime memory out of it. This has lead to new generation of wedding photographers who manage Indian wedding photos for both pre and post wedding shoots.
Katia has earned a distinctive name for specialised wedding photography, not because its her profession, but her love for India, its culture, rituals and traditions. She continues to excel in wedding photography as she travels extensively, understanding cultural fabric of India and experimenting with her skills in photography.
She’s very keen on discovering more of cultural roots in hills, specially from Himachal Pradesh and keeps visiting Kullu Manali, Dharamshala and Kangra Valley Repeatedly.
Being A Wedding Photographer, Not only does she goes across customs in your family, the final book that she hands over to you has the usual wedding moments transformed into a piece of art. Most of wedding shoots are covered with Katia leaving the Host family not as a service provider, but an extended member of family who regarded work like a responsible family unit.
